^ Raise and support the vehicle.

^ Remove brake drums.

^ Operate the parking brake control and observe the parking brake components.

^ Do the parking brake components operate?

YES -- Adjust the parking brake. Retest system.

NO -- Service worn or damaged parts. Retest the system.
