Brake Lube
Certain parts of this brake system are lubricated using Nye Fluorocarbon Gel 990A. This gel is not toxic under normal use; However toxic fumes can be liberated if the grease is heated. If these toxic fumes are inhaled, they can cause serious health hazards and be life-threatening.To avoid these dangers, avoid smoking around the lubricating oil and make sure all portions of the hands are thoroughly washed before smoking. Avoid allowing the gel to come in contact with any part of any tobacco product, specifically the paper and tobacco itself. Smoking contaminated tobacco products will cause the lubricating products to heat, releasing fumes which can be introduced into the lungs and other respiratory passages during the smoking process.
In the event the toxic fumes are inhaled, get fresh air immediately and obtain immediate medical attention.
