FF10 - Attempt to Eliminate DTC 519

NOTE: Some vehicles are equipped with Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch software strategy, but do not have the hardware released for production. When Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 519 is present, check to see If the vehicle has a PSP. If not, dIsregard servicing DTC 519. Return to Diagnostic Routines to service other DTCs.

DTC 519 indicates the PSP circuit is closed.

Possible causes:

- Damaged PSP switch.

- Open or shorted harness.

- Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect PSP switch.

- Rerun Key On Engine Off Self-Test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

- Is DTC 519 still present?

Yes -- Go to FF11. FF11 - Check PSPS Circuit For Short

No -- Replace PSP switch. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
