KE7 - Check IAC Circuit Continuity

- Key "OFF".

- Idle Air Control (IAC) solenoid disconnected.

- Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and inspect both 60 pin connectors for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Measure resistance between test pin 21 at the breakout box and IAC circuit at IAC solenoid vehicle harness connector.

- Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms?

Yes -- Go to KE8. KE8 - Check IAC Circuit For Short to Ground

No -- Service open circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
