Camshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation

The Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor:
- Sends the PCM a signal indicating camshaft position, which is used for fuel synchronization.

NOTE: The Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor is also referred to as Cylinder Identification Sensor.
