Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the power seat.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage. Refer to the following chart.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
- Seat track

Electrical
- I/P fuse panel Fuse 16 (30 A)
- Motor assembly
- Circuitry shorted or open
- Seat regulator control switch

3. If a fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
