Disassembly and Assembly

REMOVAL





1. Remove the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) vacuum actuators.
1 Disconnect the electrical connectors.
2 Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
3 Remove the bolts from each bracket.
4 Disconnect the two linkages.

2. Remove the IMRC vacuum actuators.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: If the IMRC runners require service, the entire lower intake manifold must be replaced.





1. Position the IMRC vacuum actuators for installation.

NOTE: Each time the IMRC vacuum actuator vacuum rod is removed and installed, a new nylon bushing must be installed.

2. Install the rod linkages.





3. Install and tighten the bolts.
4. Connect the vacuum hoses and electrical connectors.
