Variable Induction Control Actuator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Remove the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) vacuum actuators.
1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
3. Remove the bolts from each bracket.
4. Disconnect the two linkages.
2. Remove the IMRC vacuum actuators.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: If the IMRC runners require service, the entire lower intake manifold must be replaced.
1. Position the IMRC vacuum actuators for installation.
NOTE: Each time the IMRC vacuum actuator vacuum rod is removed and installed, a new nylon bushing must be installed.
2. Install the rod linkages.
3. Install and tighten the bolts.
4. Connect the vacuum hoses and electrical connectors.
