Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the power outside rear view mirrors.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage. Refer to the following chart:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged mirror(s)
- Damaged outside rear view mirror control

Electrical
- I/P fuse panel Fuse 4 (15 A)
- Damaged wiring
- Loose, corroded, or dirty connections
- Damaged outside rear view mirror control

3. Verify components or systems related to the fuse for proper operation. If the components or systems are not operating properly, the fuse(s), fuse feed circuits or fuse load side circuit(s) may be faulty.
4. If the fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
