Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the parking lamps and the headlamp assemblies.
4. Remove the radiator.
5. Remove the A/C condenser (if so equipped).
6. Remove the radiator grille, radiator grille opening panel and the upper radiator support.
7. Disconnect the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor tube from the right intake manifold cover.
8. Remove the rocker arms and push rods.
9. Remove the fuel injectors.
10. Disconnect the fuel supply tube from the rear of the cylinder head.
11. Remove the turbocharger compressor manifold.
12. Disconnect the heater hose from the right cylinder head.
13. Remove the oil level indicator tube retaining nut at the right exhaust manifold.
14. Remove the high-pressure oil pump supply tube from the cylinder head.
15. Remove the accessory drive belt.
16. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
17. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
18. Remove the generator bracket retaining bolts and the generator mounting bracket.
19. Remove the exhaust back-pressure tube.
20. Remove the glow plug relay bracket and glow plug relay.
21. Disconnect the fuel return line at the front of the cylinder head.
22. Remove the 18 cylinder head bolts.
23. Install the Cylinder Head Lifting Bracket.
24. With an assistant, lift the cylinder head and remove it from the vehicle.
25. Clean the cylinder head mating surface.
