Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the fan and fan clutch.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.





3. Disconnect the heater hose from the water pump.

NOTE: The water pump pulley is removed for clarity.





4. Remove the bolts and the outlet tube from the water pump.
5. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor connector.





6. Remove the bolts and the pulley from the water pump.





7. Remove the bolts and the water pump from the engine. Clean the gasket surfaces.

INSTALLATION








1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
