ISSUE

Some 1997 7.3L DIT F-250/350 (California only) and Econoline vehicles may exhibit a check engine light on and possible Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P1391, P1393, P1395, and/or P1396 stored in memory. These vehicles may or may not exhibit other driveability symptoms such as hard starting, long crank time, no start, etc.

ACTION

Refer to the information when diagnosing these conditions. Understanding the on-board diagnostics will help in diagnosing the above concerns.
