Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Release tension on the accessory drive belt.
4. Position the A/C compressor aside.

NOTE: Do not remove the lines from the A/C compressor.

5. Disconnect the wiring at the sensor.







6. Remove the CKP sensor bolt and the Crankshaft Position sensor (CKP sensor).

NOTE: The crankshaft pulley is shown removed for clarity.







INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
