Fuel Injector Driver Module (CNG): Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
2. Position the coolant recovery bottle aside.
1 Remove the retaining screws.
2 Position the coolant recovery bottle aside.
3. Remove the NGV module harness connector plastic shroud.
4. Disconnect the Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) module assembly electrical connector.
1 Loosen the retaining bolt.
2 Disconnect the NGV module assembly electrical connector.
5. Remove the NGV module assembly.
1 Remove the retaining screws.
2 Remove the NGV module assembly.
6. Remove the NGV module marine cover retaining screws.
7. Remove the NGV module from the marine cover.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
- Be sure to install the NGV module harness connector plastic shroud to prevent water from entering the NGV module.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to learn the strategy.
