Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.





3. Remove the air cleaner and inlet tube.
4. Remove the parking lamps and the headlamp assemblies.
5. Remove the radiator.
6. Remove the A/C condenser (if so equipped).
7. Remove the radiator grille, radiator grille opening panel, and upper radiator support.
8. Remove the turbocharger compressor manifold.
9. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.





10. Disconnect the power steering lines.





11. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C compressor (if so equipped).





12. Disconnect the air conditioning manifold lines, if so equipped.





13. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum manifold.





14. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bracket retaining bolts and the mounting bracket
15. Remove the rocker arm cover, the rocker arms, and the push rods.





16. Disconnect the fuel supply tube from the rear of the cylinder head.





17. Remove the high-pressure oil tube from the cylinder head.
18. Remove the fuel tube nut from the intake manifold stud.





19. Disconnect the fuel return tube from the cylinder head.





20. Remove the fuel tube retaining clamp at the cylinder head.
21. Remove the fuel injectors.





22. Remove the 18 cylinder head bolts.
23. Install the Cylinder Head Lifting Bracket.





24. With an assistant, remove the cylinder head and cylinder head gasket.
25. Clean the cylinder head mating surface.
