Installation

1. Install the engine lifting equipment to the engine.
2. Install the engine assembly. Carefully align the torque converter studs with the holes in the flexplate.
3. Remove the engine lifting equipment.
4. Install the transmission fill tube.





5. Install the transmission to engine bolts.
6. Raise and support the vehicle.





7. Install the left and right side engine mount nuts.





8. Install the flywheel-to-torque converter retaining nuts.





9. Install the flywheel housing cover.
10. Install the starter motor and retaining bolts.
11. Connect the engine block heater.
12. Install the oil filter.
13. Lower the vehicle.





14. Connect the fuel line quick connectors, and install the retaining clip.





15. Position the fuel filter drain tube, and install the retaining bolt.
16. Install the turbocharger assembly.





17. Install the heater hose onto the right cylinder head.





18. Install the wire and retaining nut on the maxifuse.





19. Install the heater hose.





20. Connect the MAP sensor tube to the right side intake manifold runner.





21. Connect the battery ground cables to the engine.





22. Connect the engine control sensor wiring.





23. Install the generator mounting bracket.





24. Connect the electrical connectors to the generator.





25. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket and retaining bolts.
26. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner assembly.





27. Connect the power steering pump lines to the power steering pump.





28. Connect the vacuum pump hose.





29. Connect the A/C manifold line to the tee block, if so equipped.





30. Connect the air conditioning manifold lines to the A/C compressor, if so equipped.





31. Connect the A/C compressor electrical connector, if so equipped.
32. Install the accessory drive belt.
33. Install the radiator.
34. Install the upper and lower radiator core support, radiator grille opening panel, the radiator grille and the air deflector.
35. Install the A/C condenser (if so equipped).





36. Install the oil filler tube.
37. Install the bumper.
38. Install the air cleaner housing assembly and air duct.
39. Install the headlamp assemblies and the parking lamp assemblies.
40. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
41. Add oil to the engine as necessary.
42. Start the engine and check for leaks.
