S: Rapid Continuous Flashing of the Air Bag Indicator (No DTC)

Normal Operation
Each air bag sensor has three wires.
^ The first wire is used for the air bag deployment.
^ The second wire is used to monitor the sensor's connection to the air bag diagnostic monitor. (For details refer to Pinpoint Test K [DTC B 1941]
and Pinpoint Test L [DTC B1942].)
^ The third is used to monitor the mounting (ground) of the sensor to sheet metal. (For details refer to Pinpoint Test M [DTC B1944]
and Pinpoint Test N [DTC B1945].)

An air bag diagnostic monitor which has yet to be powered up in an electrically complete system will remain in assembly plant mode until it is powered up in a good system for a period of time. While the air bag diagnostic monitor is in assembly plant mode:
^ If both air bag sensors are disconnected, the air bag diagnostic monitor will flash the air bag indicator continuously at a rapid rate.
^ If a fault exists in the system, the appropriate Lamp Fault Code (LFC) will flash on the warning indicator, but no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will be stored in the air bag diagnostic monitor's nonvolatile memory. Subsequently, DTCs can be retrieved by running the On-Demand Self Test, but will not appear when retrieving continuous DTCs.

When the air bag diagnostic monitor is not in assembly plant mode:
^ If both air bag sensors are disconnected, the air bag diagnostic monitor will store DTCs B1941, B1942, B1944, and B1945.
^ Any other applicable DTCs will also be stored in the air bag diagnostic monitor.

Possible Causes
Rapid continuous flashing of the air bag indicator can be caused by:
^ Both air bag sensors disconnected from the wiring harness.
^ Main wiring harness not connected to the engine compartment wiring harness.
