Retrieving Parameter Identification Codes

NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide a procedure to retrieve Parameter Identification (PID) codes without the New Generation Star (NGS) tester.

To retrieve PIDs, follow these steps:
1. Connect the NGS Tester to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Select the MODEL YEAR and VEHICLE.
4. Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
5. Select IABM (Integrated Air Bag Monitor).
6. Select PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD.
7. Record all PIDs that are to be retrieved and press START. PIDs are continuously updated on the display.
