Manual Test

1. Configure the Super STAR II Tester to FAST mode and EEC-IV/MCU.
2. Turn ON and place the Super STAR II Tester into HOLD mode.
3. Connect Super STAR II Tester to the EVO diagnostic connector.
4. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
5. Place the Super STAR II Tester in TEST mode.

NOTE: While the Super STAR II Tester is in TEST mode, the tester will cycle through the Function Test repeatedly.

6. Run Function Test 21. Wait for the number 21 to be displayed; then place the Super STAR II Tester in HOLD mode for two seconds and then back to TEST mode. Function Test 21
7. If any diagnostic test codes (DTCs) are reported, record them for later use. Clear the DTCs using Function Test 23. Function Test 23
8. Run each Function Test by placing the Super STAR II Tester HOLD mode for two seconds and then back to-TEST mode.
- Function Test 25, perform the Actuator Test. Function Test 25
- Function Test 32, perform the Electronic Steering Sensor Test. Function Test 32
- Function Test 34, perform the Vehicle Speed Sensor Test. Function Test 34

NOTE: Review the description of the Function Tests for test requirements to avoid misdiagnosis of the systems.

9. Retrieve, record and clear all DTCs.
