Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
NOTE: If any concerns are noted with the speedometer, yellow ABS warning indicator lamp, stoplamps, or horn, address those concerns before continuing speed control diagnosis.1. Verify the customer concern by operating the speed control system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
- Damaged speed control actuator cable
- Speed control actuator cable not attached to throttle body cam
Electrical
- Fuse(s)
- Damaged wiring
- Loose, corroded, or dirty connections
- Damaged speed control actuator switches
