Daytime Running Lamp: Description and Operation

The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) system is designed to turn the high beam headlamps on at a reduced output without illuminating the high beam indicator. The system is activated when the ignition switch is ON, the headlamp switch is OFF, and the parking brake is released.
