Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the main wiring.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING, JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR SUSPENSION VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TURNING OFF THE AIR SUSPENSION SWITCH LOCATED IN THE REAR JACK STORAGE AREA. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE OPERATIONS.







3. Remove the four bolts and the skid plate.







4. Remove the four bolts and separate the rear Three Way Catalytic Converters (TWC). Position out of the way.







5. Disconnect the downstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) and remove.







6. Disconnect and remove the heated oxygen sensor.







INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
