Radiator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the rubber radiator overflow hose.
3. Remove the two screws. Lift the fan shroud out of the lower retaining clips and drape it on the fan blade.
4. Remove the upper radiator hose.
5. Remove the lower radiator hose.
6. Disconnect the two transmission cooling lines.
7. Remove the screws and tilt the radiator back and lift it directly upward.
INSTALLATION
WARNING: DO NOT STAND IN LINE WITH OR NEAR THE ENGINE COOLING FAN BLADE WHEN REVVING THE ENGINE.
1. Position the radiator into the engine compartment and install the bolts.
2. Connect the two transmission cooling lines to the radiator oil cooler fittings.
3. Install the upper radiator hose to the radiator.
4. Install the lower radiator hose to the radiator.
5. Install the fan shroud to the radiator.
6. Install the rubber radiator overflow hose to the radiator.
7. Fill the cooling system.
8. Operate the engine for several minutes and check the hoses and connections for leaks.
