Installation

1. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.
2. Install new gaskets as required.
- Use new cylinder head bolts.

3. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.








4. Tighten the bolts in sequence, in three stages, to 70 Nm (51 ft. lbs.).
- Stage 1: Tighten all bolts to 70 Nm.
- Stage 2: Retighten all bolts to 70 Nm.
- Stage 3: Tighten all bolts an additional 90-100 degrees.











5. Install generator bracket. Install bolts in four stages.
- Stage 1: Hand-start bolt 3.
- Stage 2: Install and tighten bolt 1.
- Stage 3: Install and tighten bolt 2.
- Stage 4: Tighten bolt 3.














6. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket.
Install the bolts and the stud.
- Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm (35 ft lb).
- Tighten the stud to 25 Nm (18 ft lb).
