Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the fan blade and fan clutch.
3. Remove the drive belt.





4. Remove the bolts and the inlet tube.





5. Remove the bolts and the water pump.

INSTALLATION








1. Position a new O-ring.

NOTE: Apply Premium Long-Life Grease XG-1-K or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M1C75-B to three locations on the water pump.

2. Install the water pump.

NOTE: Apply Teflon Pipe Sealant D8AZ-19551A or equivalent meeting Ford specifications WSK-M2G350-A2 and ESR-M 1 8P7-A.

3. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
4. Fill the cooling system.
