Rear Aft-Axle

REMOVAL
1. Remove the aft-axle fuel tank assembly.







2. Disconnect the fuel tank balance tube from the rear aft-axle fuel tank solenoid valve.







3. Remove the rear aft-axle fuel tank.
1. Remove the fuel tank support strap retaining nuts.
2. Remove the rear aft-axle fuel tank.












INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

NOTE:
- Replace the fuel line O-ring seal.
- Lubricate the fuel line O-ring seal with 5W30 engine oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G or equivalent prior to installation, to help seal and ease the installation.
- When tightening the fuel line, a torque wrench adapter must be used with the torque wrench. The use of a torque wrench adapter will alter the effective torque of the torque wrench being used. To correct the effective torque, a torque multiplication conversion must be used.

2. Perform the fuel system leak test procedure.
