Fuel Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor
The engine fuel temperature sensor is located on the fuel injection supply manifold, and is used to provide a signal to the powertrain control module that indicates the temperature of the fuel in the fuel injection supply manifold.

Tank Temperature Sensor
The tank temperature sensor:
- changes resistance in response to the temperature of the fuel in the fuel tank; as the surrounding temperature increases, the resistance decreases (the voltage signal also decreases).
- provides a signal to the NGV module that indicates the temperature of the fuel.
- is mounted in the high-pressure fuel line downstream of the coalescer filter.
