Ignition Switch: Description and Operation

The integrated multifunction switch is mounted to the LH side of the steering column and controls the turn signal, headlamp dimmer/flash-to-pass, windshield wiper/washer and hazard warning.

The ignition switch is mounted below the steering column and is activated using the ignition key and rotating the key lock cylinder on the steering column.

If equipped with manual transmission, the key release lever prevents rotation of the ignition cylinder to LOCK or ACC positions unless the lever is depressed.
