Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern.

2. Inspect the entire turbocharger system for obvious signs of damage, using the following chart.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Damaged intake hoses
^ Loose hose clamps
^ Loose exhaust clamps
^ Damaged turbocharger
^ Restricted intake or exhaust

3. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, go to the symptom chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
