REMOVAL

WARNING: USE ONLY PROPERLY INSTALLED FCC APPROVED RADIO TRANSMITTING EQUIPMENT. USE OF OTHER TRANSMITTING EQUIPMENT MAY CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO MALFUNCTION OR STALL. IF THE ENGINE STALLS, POWER BRAKE AND POWER STEERING ASSIST WILL STOP. CONSULT YOUR AUTHORIZED DEALER BEFORE INSTALLING ANY RADIO TRANSMITTER.

NOTE: The removal and installation procedures apply to all original equipment instrument panel mounted radio chassis.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the radio chassis from the instrument panel.
1 Insert Radio Removing Tool into the radio face plate and release the radio retaining clips.
2 Pull outward on Radio Removing Tool while pulling the radio chassis away from the instrument panel.
3 Remove the radio chassis from the instrument panel using Radio Removing Tool.







3. Disconnect radio chassis wiring.
1 Disconnect the radio chassis wiring connector.
2 Disconnect the radio antenna lead in cable.
3 Remove the radio chassis.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
