Special Tools:

Disassembly





1. Remove the oil pump-to-case snap ring.
2. Using a bearing cup remover and impact slide hammer, remove the counter shaft bearing.





3. Remove the oil pump assembly.





4. Use a brass drift to dent the nilos ring.





5. Use a bearing remover to remove the input shaft seal, bearing race, nilos ring and shim.





6. Use a blind hole bearing remover to remove the shift rail needle bearing.
7. Use a brass drift to remove the center plate counter shaft bearing race.
8. Use a brass drift to remove the center plate main shaft bearing race.

Assembly





1. Use a driver handle to install the center plate counter shaft bearing race.





2. Use a driver handle to install the center plate main shaft bearing race.





3. Use a needle bearing replacer to install the shift rail needle bearings.





4. Install the oil pump assembly.





5. Use an input shaft replacer and handle to install the input shaft bearing race.
^ Position the shim and nilos ring in the bearing bore.
^ Install the input shaft seal.
^ Use bearing replacer to install the input shaft bearing race.





6. Install the oil pump-to-case snap ring.





7. Use a bearing driver and handle to install the counter shaft bearing race.
