Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

Special Tools:

Removal
1. Remove the crankshaft damper.





2. Use Seal Remover to remove the crankshaft front seal. Discard the crankshaft front seal.

Installation
1. Inspect the crankshaft damper and engine front cover for damage that might cause the crankshaft front seal to fail.

2. Note: Lubricate parts with engine oil before assembly.





Use the (A) Front Crankshaft Seal Replacer (spacer), (B) Front Crankshaft Seal Installer/Aligner and (D) Vibration Damper Puller Adapter to install the (C) front crankshaft oil seal.
3. Install the crankshaft damper.
