Variable Induction Control Actuator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Disconnect the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the IMRC actuating links.
5. Remove the three bolts and the IMRC actuator.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Actuator and the three bolts.
NOTE:
^ Rotate the motor driver plate by pulling linkages inward until levers make contact with set screws.
^ Make sure the levers remain in contact with the set screws. If the levers pull away from the set screws, loosen the bolts, adjust the motor position so contact is made, and tighten to specifications.
2. Connect the IMRC actuating links.
NOTE: Insert new plastic retainers into levers.
3. Connect the IMRC electrical connector.
4. Install the engine cover.
5. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
