Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the fuel injection supply manifold.
^ Refer to Fuel Rail.







2. Grasp the fuel injector body and pull up while twisting gently to remove the fuel injector.

INSTALLATION







1. Install the fuel injectors using a light, twisting, downward motion.

NOTE:
^ Replace O-ring seals.
^ Lubricate the O-ring seals with 5W30 engine oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G or equivalent prior to installation to help seal and ease the installation.

2. Install the fuel injection supply manifold.
^ Refer to Fuel Rail.
