Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.







3. Disconnect the wiring at the coil.
4. Remove the screw and the coil.

INSTALLATION
1. Apply Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A or equivalent to the inside of the coil boots.







2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
