Quarter

REMOVAL
1. Fully open the rear quarter window glass.







2. Remove the C-pillar and D-pillar trim panels.







3. Position the quarter trim panel aside.







4. Disconnect the vent window actuating arm from the motor shaft.







5. Remove the fastener and the A/C duct.







6. Remove the 14 fasteners at the top, bottom and rear.

CAUTION: Use care not to damage the headliner when accessing the upper fasteners.







7. Remove the rear quarter window vent glass.
1 Remove the five fasteners.
2 Using care not to damage the seal, gently push the vent glass outward.

NOTE: The rubber seal will be removed with the vent glass.

CAUTION: Have an assistant hold the vent glass as it is removed.







8. Remove excess butyl sealant from the pinch weld.


INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Apply an 8-mm (5/16-in) bead of foam butyl sealant meeting Ford specification WSB-M2G234-C to the pinchweld area.
^ Loosely install all the fasteners before tightening to final torque.
