Fuel Charging and Controls

The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor:
^ is a variable reluctance sensor.
^ senses a missing tooth on the crankshaft damper pulse ring.
^ generates a crankshaft position signal which is sent to the PCM. The PCM counts this signal for engine rpm.
