Air Cleaner - 7.3L Diesel

REMOVAL
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the battery cables. For additional information, refer to Battery.







3. From the rear moving forward, release the four retaining snaps. Remove the battery cover.







4. Remove the battery hold-down and the battery.







5. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet tube.







6. Remove the bolts.







7. Lifting the rear of the battery tray/air cleaner assembly, disconnect the air temperature sensor electrical connector.
8. Remove the battery tray/air cleaner assembly.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Make sure the air cleaner inlet is correctly installed through and clear of the rubber air deflector. Make sure the air cleaner inlet is correctly installed in the battery tray/air cleaner assembly.
^ Make sure the battery cover retaining snaps are locked in place.
