Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor-2.5L

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.






3. Remove the ECT sensor.

NOTE: Remove the sensor quickly and reinstall the new sensor as to minimize coolant loss.

Installation






1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
