Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

ECT measures engine coolant temperature. It is used by the PCM to determine coolant temperature and A/C operation, and used in determining torque converter clutch scheduling. The ECT sensor resistance decreases as coolant temperature increases.
