1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system in question.2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.

^ Loose or corroded connections
^ Anti-lock brake control module
^ Instrument cluster (message center optional)
^ RKE (DDM) (optional)
^ Left Power Sliding Door Module (LPSDM) (optional)
^ Right Power Sliding Door Module (RPSDM) (optional)
^ Restraint Control Module (RCM)
^ Front Electronic Module (FEM)
^ Rear Electronic Module (REM)
^ Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
^ Next Generation Speed Control (NGSC) servo (optional)
^ Parking Aid Module (PAM) (optional)
3. If the concern remains after the inspection, connect the scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel and select the vehicle to be tested from scan tool menu. If scan tool does not communicate with the vehicle:
^ Check that the program card is properly installed.
^ Check that the correct version of the program card is installed.
^ Check the connections to the vehicle.
^ Check the ignition switch position.
If scan tool still does not communicate with the vehicle, GO to Pinpoint Test N. Test N: No Module/Network Communication
4. GO to Pinpoint Test PC. Pinpoint Test PC (Precheck)
