Cylinder Head Assembly: Specifications

ENGINE GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS

Cylinder Heads





Note: New bolts must be used.

Note: The head gaskets are not interchangeable and are marked for either right or left side use.

Position the cylinder head and gasket and install the new bolts in three steps:
1 Tighten to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
2 Tighten to 72 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
3 Tighten an additional 90 degrees.





Upper Intake Manifold
Install the nuts.
- Tighten the nuts in the sequence shown.





Lower Intake Manifold
Install the gasket, the intake manifold and tighten the bolts in sequence in four steps:
1 Tighten to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
2 Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
3 Tighten to 13 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
4 Tighten to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).





LH Exhaust Manifold
Tighten to 20-25 Nm (15-18 ft.lb)






RH Exhaust Manifold
Tighten to 20-25 Nm (15-18 ft.lb)
