Installation

1. Position a new gasket on the transfer case and on the transmission case.





2. Position the extension housing.





3. CAUTION: Watch for obstructions. Position the transfer case in the vehicle.





4. Position the extension housing to the transfer case.





5. Install the six bolts.





6. Align the output shaft and input shaft splines, and slide the extension housing and transfer case assembly onto the transmission.





7. Install the six bolts.





8. Connect the vent tube.





9. Install the transmission mount.





10. Install the crossmember.





11. Remove the jack.





12. Remove the transmission supports.





13. Install the nuts.
14. Connect the front and rear driveshafts to the transfer case.





15. Install the skid plate.





16. Tighten the drain plug.





17. Fill the transfer case, as necessary, with the correct type and quantity of fluid.
