Upper

Arm - Upper

Removal
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Use a suitable jack stand to support the front suspension lower arm.





4. Remove the pinch bolt.

5. CAUTION: Before separating the front suspension upper arm from the front wheel knuckle, secure the front wheel knuckle to prevent it from tilting outward. Failure to do so can cause damage to the front axle shaft.

Separate the front suspension upper arm from the front wheel knuckle.





6. Remove the front suspension upper arm.
1 Remove the two nuts and alignment plates.
2 Remove the two bolts and the cams.
3 Remove the front suspension upper arm.

Installation

1. NOTE: When installing the front suspension upper arm, replace the alignment plates with new alignment cams.





Install the front suspension upper arm.
1 Position the front suspension arm bushing joint.
2 Install the two bolts, four cams and two nuts.





2. Install the pinch bolt and nut.
1 Position the upper arm into the front wheel knuckle.
2 Install the pinch bolt and nut.
3. Remove the jack stand from under the front suspension lower arm.
4. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Check the wheel alignment.
