Exhaust System: Description and Operation

Exhaust System
The exhaust system will vary between engine, transmission and vehicle models.

CAUTION: Do not allow aerosol silicone lubricant to make contact with heated oxygen or catalyst monitor sensor or damage to the sensors can occur.

To ease removal and installation of exhaust insulators, lubricate the insulators using Aerosol Silicone Lubricant F5AZ-1 9553-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M13P4-A.
