Initial Inspection - Conventional Cluster - Instrument Cluster

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.

Visual Inspection Chart:

2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
3. Verify that the following systems are working correctly.
^ charging system
^ fuel system
^ engine oiling system
^ engine cooling system
^ vehicle speed control system

If the system(s) are not working correctly, refer to the appropriate Vehicle System.

4. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
5. If the fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Diagnosis By Symptom - Conventional Cluster - Instrument Cluster
