SERVICE PROCEDURE1. NOTE: If you determine that the existing PCM calibration is already at the new level (or later) according to the chart, no reprogramming is necessary.
Identify the existing PCM calibration, then reprogram the PCM to the new calibration found in the applicable chart below. Use one (1) of the following two (2) methods:
^ Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS), with the software level indicated in the chart.
^ New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester with Rotunda Flash Cable (007-00531) and Rotunda Flash Card (007-00532). The calibration must be downloaded to a flash card using WDS with the software level indicated in the chart.
PREPARE AUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS LABEL
1. Obtain and prepare the Authorized Modifications label. Write the modification completed, your P&A code, date of repair and the recall program number in the spaces provided on the label. See Figure 1.
2. Open the hood and clean an area on the radiator support with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth.
3. Apply the label to the clean area.
4. Provide California owners with a completed Vehicle Emissions Recall-Proof of Correction certificate. See Figure 2.
