Vehicle Damage Warnings

CAUTION:
^ When raising a vehicle on a twin-post hoist, use care when positioning the vehicle so that the hoisting forks do not interfere with the shock absorber mounting brackets or stabilizer mounting brackets, if so equipped, or damage the axle carrier or rear cover.
^ Damage to suspension, exhaust and steering linkage components can occur if care is not exercised when positioning the hoist adapters prior to lifting the vehicle.
^ Do not carry out the Engine Load Test for more than five seconds or damage to the transmission or transaxle can result. Block the front and rear wheels.
^ Limit engine running time to one minute or less with belts removed or serious engine damage will result.
^ Never probe moving parts.
^ Do not hold the steering wheel against the stops for more than three to five seconds at a time. Damage to the power steering pump will occur.
^ Do not install brake discs that are less than the minimum thickness specified. Do not machine a brake disc below the minimum thickness specification.
^ Do not use a bench lathe to machine brake discs.
^ Make sure the system is warned up to normal operating temperature, as thermal expansion can be the cause of a strain problem.
