ISSUE
Some F250-F550 Super Duty and Excursion vehicles equipped with a 5.4L or 6.8L engine, and some E350/450 vehicles equipped with a 6.8L engine may exhibit a rough idle and/or hesitation when accelerating. This may occur intermittently within the first 2-3 minutes after start when engine is not warmed up (ie., conditions other than hot restart). The condition is more likely to occur at ambient temperatures of approximately 60° F (160 C) and higher, and may be aggravated by an unmetered air leak or exhaust leak.
