With LPG
Liquid Propane Gas, Part 1:
Liquid Propane Gas, Part 2:
The fuel control system on this engine is separate from the gasoline fuel system and has unique parts. The compuvalve meters fuel to the LPG fuel injection supply manifold. The fuel injection supply manifold distributes the fuel to each cylinder through the fuel injector sleeves. When the alternative fuel in the fuel tanks is depleted the compuvalve will automatically switch the engine fuel to the gasoline fuel system.
Vaporizer
The liquid propane gas must be in the gaseous state for use as an automotive fuel. The liquid propane is warmed to a gaseous state in the vaporizer, which is unique to the propane fuel system, by warm engine coolant.
